#7 Jacoby Brissett 6’4” 235 2nd Year, North Carolina State
Jacoby Brissett was a third round selection for the Patriots just two years ago. He stepped into the quarterback room and has showed that he belongs in the league. Brissett made a spot start last season and dazzled at times with his athleticism and arm strength. Look for him to continue upward on his developmental track in 2017 and continue to become more comfortable as a passer within the Patriots system.
Brings to the table many desirable traits for the position. Sheer arm strength and velocity are staples of his game as is his fearless nature within the pocket as he does not flinch in the face of pressure. Truly a tough quarterback who has the body and build to withstand physical punishment. Very comfortable throwing on the move as he was often running for life during his time at NC State. This is two fold because he developed some bad habits in college due to the constant pressure was under. This disallowed growth to form in terms of him becoming a seasoned passer.
